As simple as that

In a move that surprised current and former members, Santa Rosa's normally staid and nonpartisan City Council asked Congress to launch impeachment proceedings against President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

On a 5-1 vote cast at midnight Tuesday, the council endorsed a resolution presented by local impeachment advocates.

The vote by a seven-member council that had steadfastly resisted taking stands on national issues put Santa Rosa in the company of 88 other cities and counties, including Berkeley, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Arcata and Sebastopol.
Are you listening, Nancy?

Can Nancy's district impeach her for refusing to impeach? Does the House, or its Speaker, have a constitutional duty to impeach Executive branch officials engaged in ongoing impeachable offenses, and if so, is dereliction of that duty itself an impeachable offense? (I doubt it, but I thought I'd suggest the possibility.)

I'm so sad the Democrats are stuck in molasses. They must know all the wonderful things they did in the first 100 days will not carry them through to election day. We need justice. Impeachment is a good thing and is so clearly needed.

C'mon, Nancy. We need you guys to act. (My husband agrees with you, Steve. He'd like to boot Nancy out and get somebody... anybody who will start doing something.)
