Shit...Musharraf's doing?

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Dec. 27 -- Former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday at a political rally, two months after returning from exile to attempt a political comeback.

Bhutto, 54, was shot at close range as she waved to supporters from the rooftop opening of a bulletproof car, witnesses said. Seconds later, a suicide bomber detonated explosives just behind Bhutto's car. The explosion killed at least 20 people, and injured many others.

Musharaff's doing? Indirectly or directly he is responsible. She was nearly killed when she first arrived and has continued to be a target. It was only a matter of time. What comes next? That is the really scary part.

Plenty of potential suspects, but her death hurts Musharraf more than it helps him. I suspect Al-Qaeda with help from the ISI, but that's speculation. What is clear is that Pakistan is headed for greater chaos. This could get very bloody.

Why did we force Musharraf to deal with Bhutto in the first place or Bhutto and Sharif? Or just Sharif for that matter? Do we want the place to fall to pieces with al-Qaeda claiming the borderlands?

Do we really want al-Qaeda to get their hands on the nukes?.... or would that finally give Cheney something big to drop his precious bombs on?

Every one of those countries around Pakistan must be breaking out in a sweat about now...

Thuggish military type nation with religious maniacs attempting to control the government... sounds strangely familiar.
