Exactly which church?

I'll make sure never to go there...
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The more often Americans go to church, the more likely they are to support the torture of suspected terrorists, according to a new survey.
Really?
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Or maybe:
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
I wonder what Jesus' opinion of torture was? You know... waterboarding, sleep deprivation, being crucified....

I mean, hey, if you're into those kinds of things and you want to do them to yourselves consensually, go right ahead... But you know, practice safety first.

Is the mind of the fundamentalist so black and white, so rigid, that they can't understand the humanity of the 'other'?

When did they turn into the AmeriTaliban?

Was it when the Left Behind books came out, where they rejoiced at the ability they would have in sitting in heaven and watching the sinners and heathens writhe in terrible agony while they could go Nyah nyah?

Was it when the hatred of gays was used to unite the churches against a needed enemy?

Was it when the Islamofacist was created out of thin air to make people cling frantically to their 'Christianist' faith?

When did they become so anti-Jesus?

Well, I'd say it's tied in with the perversion of Gospel to justify slavery, and also as also encouraged by the imperial Roman church to maintain patriarchal rape culture and world domination. Nothing to do with Jesus, I mean, except for being on the side of the crucifiers.

But, you know, who am I to judge?
