I'm all for a single-payer system. I wonder if there are legs to the argument that if seniors get Medicare, then everybody should be entitle to Medicare. Keeping in mind that seniors use more services than young people, the cost would not go up per participant. Currently, Medicare costs a little over $100 a month for basic services. Those who wanted additional services could purchase them.
I bow to your suggestion. Anything sounds better than the broken system we have now. Somehow we need to remove the claws insurance has sunk into health care along with the idea hospitals need to make an extreme profit for its shareholders.
