Why would a cat want a mown lawn, let alone want to mow a lawn itself? Think of all the little critters s/he can chase if the grass is tall! I think that cat is just measuring the leap to the other side of the fence, where the grass is, if not greener, at least taller.
FWIW, many years ago, when I had the misfortune to mow my own lawn, sometimes birds would follow me to harvest any insects I stirred up.
Well.. this cat is obviously so grateful for all the good food and the constant brushing of its sleek fur that it must mow the lawn in appreciation....
