Well done. But... what's that tapping noise? Will anyone under the age of 30 recognize it?

BTW, I'm blogging at the YDD Annex until I'm able to post the YDD itself. I hope to return home later today.

... tapping noise? ...

I gave away my typewriter long ago and now have my daughter pleading with me to buy these quaint machines at garage sales. 'It doesn't even need electricity, Mom!'

I feel old....

Perhaps she needs to be reminded that the backspace key doesn't remove the typo?

Lol! She'll never find out if I can prevent her finding a functional one. We've gotten so spoiled with our keyboards...

I remember the first letter I ever typed on a Selectric. (No, it wasn't mine.) IIRC, on that model, the backspace key DID in fact remove the typo, if you had an additional white ribbon installed.

But life wasn't worth living if you wanted an entire sentence removed. For that, you had to wait for the MagCard. Oh, do I have some stories I could tell from those days. about my boss, his two secretaries, and the MagCard II. (No, not that kind of stories! He was elderly and very prim and proper.)

Don't let your daughter get started collecting old technology. Initial investment may be minimal, but maintenance is hell to pay!

I'll say. Try and find typewriter ribbon...
