Five myths about terrorism

Besides them following us back home because they are too stupid to read a map, unable to delegate, and don't have enough money to buy a plane ticket.

Alan B. Krueger of the Washington Post discusses:

1. Terrorism is a random act carried out by irrational people who hate our way of life.

2. Terrorists are no different than ordinary criminals.

3. Terrorists are likely to cross into the United States from Mexico.

4. Terrorism is mainly perpetrated by Muslims.

5. Terrorism never succeeds.

The one I was startled by was the high education level of many terrorists. They aren't stupid....

Treason doth never prosper, because if it succeeds, none dare call it treason. Likewise terrorism, the chief proponent of which is George Bush, and if this be treason, make the most of it.

Sir John Harington (1561-1612) wrote that Treason doth never prosper; what's the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason.

Good quote. How weird we haven't grown up and matured enough to not have this quote still applying to our experiences....
