What does the Republican party actually stand for nowadays?

John Aravosis reminds us what they used to be for: Limited government, tax cuts, strong defense. and family values.

So what do they stand for now?
Bloated government, deficit spending and tax cuts for corporations and the rich, misuse of the military in a vanity war and to threaten other countries while stretching it too thin, and indifference to religion, the poor, the gays, humanity in general unless it can be manipulated to gain votes.

How on earth could anyone vote Republican now that the truth is so obvious?
