Puzzled cats are puzzled.
North Korea prepares for war ... with somebody. Anybody?
This is why Congress is broken, the Republicans want to stay ignorant about anything Obama offers. They will refuse to do anything he suggests. The teabaggery party has won.
How to deal with angry bees. Killer bees or not.
Bees instinctually target the eyes, nose, ears and face. If you lack a helmet and veil, the bees will sting your repeatedly in the head and upper trunk, and at some point this will cause your eyes to swell shut and then you are in big trouble. If you are blind, escaping these insects is difficult or impossible, and the likelihood of you running into other objects or falling down in addition to being attacked--goes up. This is how people sometimes die in these confrontations. They get stung repeatedly in the face, the flesh swells around their eyes, they are still being stung repeatedly which hurts like hell and is scary, and they run into a wall or tree, or fall over items in their path and hurt themselves, or knock themselves out, meanwhile more bees appear, just to sting the person, while they are down and unable to get back up.Saving Britain's heritage...by losing Shakespeare's house.

11 facts about the Affordable Care Act
Krugman:
None of this should be happening. As in 1931, Western nations have the resources they need to avoid catastrophe, and indeed to restore prosperity — and we have the added advantage of knowing much more than our great-grandparents did about how depressions happen and how to end them. But knowledge and resources do no good if those who possess them refuse to use them. And that’s what seems to be happening. The fundamentals of the world economy aren’t, in themselves, all that scary; it’s the almost universal abdication of responsibility that fills me, and many other economists, with a growing sense of dread.

I read the news today, oh boy....
Harassing three year olds for gender bending.
Well... the one family, one child thing really really worked, didn't it? Estimated 96 million women missing from the population of Asia.
Redefining Capitol Hill speak.
Romney says his Massachusetts health care isn't like Obama's even though it is.
Dinna go to warp speed, Scottie!! It'lla kill yeh!
Growing low-oxygen zones in oceans worry scientists. ... It concerns a lot of regular citizens, too, you know.... as well as fish, crabs, shrimp....
Love wins.

That will teach you that God is Love!
Jesus' General:
Gov. Palin's witch-fighting network had it's first big success in Alaska, five years later, when they took on a witch who worked in the Alaska State Prison System. Here's how Gov. Palin's witch-fighting mentor, Mary Glazier, describes their victory:So remember! God loves you!As we continued to pray against the spirit of witchcraft, her incense
altar caught on fire, her car engine blew up, she went blind in her left
eye, and she was diagnosed with cancer.

Proposition 8
Steve at SteveAudio smacks it around:
It's about love not exclusion:
Didn't Jesus have something to say about love?
But Prop. 8 will give the Government the right to screw with your churches. Didn't think about that? The Government can, if Prop. 8 passes, tell your church:Here's Lynne Cheney of all people!:
* who it can marry
* who it can ordain
* who may attend church-sponsored schools
* how it spends your donations
In other words, the wall protects both sides. Did you forget that? Water flows both ways, and so does power. If you think you can control the Government, the Government can control you and your churches.
In response to the legalization of same-sex marriage in California, Dick Cheney's wife Lynne tells Harry Smith that she wishes for her daughter Mary, the same freedom and choices of every American.
It's about love not exclusion:
Didn't Jesus have something to say about love?
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Quote of the decade
“When we find ourselves believing that killing a man makes us more of a man, but loving a man makes us less of a man, it’s probably time to reexamine our criteria for manhood.”

A beautiful act of contrition
By a Christian who realized that hating gays was not Christ-like:
Yet, can any student of the Bible say that the overall message - from beginning to end - is not one of forgiveness, love and redemption? God calls upon Christians to love as Christ did. God forbids us from judging or condemning people based on what we consider sin. That, I believe the Bible says, is God's job. As I pondered these questions, God began to slowly open my heart and mind to what I know as truth today - gay men and lesbians are not wicked and evil individuals and their sexual orientation is simply how God created them. They have jobs, homes, families and many desire a meaningful relationship with God just as I do. While I'm no theologian, I believe deeply that God grants us the ability to discern spiritual truths. One truth that God allowed me to discern is that judging a group of people as wicked and evil because of their sexual orientation - and deeming them as unworthy of my association and unworthy of a relationship with God - was wrong.
