The negatives of Governor Chris Christie.

What letting loose a virus into the internets can do... think space station..

A shower design that reuses water and saves money.  Do you think we'll ever see it produced in the US?

The Earth is old... older than 6,000 years.  Life on Earth is really old.  Apparently older than we ever imagined.  And here is a panorama of Mars.  (scroll down and ignore the annoying whirling gif.)

Russian car crashes from dash cams.

Most of those books I keep reading (despite their being a sure pathway to Hell) say the universe... at least the one we live in... is about 13.7 or 13.8 billion years old. So the Earth really is comparatively young, but only compared to the universe.

The ISS laptops have recently been moved from XP to Linux, to avoid virus hassles.

You'd think there had been a procedure to ensure USB sticks taken to the ISS were virus free BEFORE takeoff!!!

Three cheers for Linux! Having retired and no longer having to use Windows for consulting jobs, I have utterly abandoned it for Linux. I am never going back!
