I was furious when I heard they had edited the first books because of 'vocabulary' differences. Just give us the damned book the way the author wrote it.
I read the British one aloud to my daughter who followed along with the American one. Which is where we learned that popping one's clogs is the same as kicking the bucket.
The later books didn't edit. I guess they figured we could handle it...

You too? *HP fist bump*
I've got the British publications, the American ones, and the audio version so I can be read to while I'm in the kitchen.
But I'm not obsessive.... really!
*HP fist bump*!
Just the Canadian ones here, which are identical to the Brit version. But the US ones had illustrations, which I've always coveted. ;)
