Nothing in the constitution limits the number of terms a vice president may serve, and as a unique office that spans executive, legislative and (due to its special jurisdiction over tribunals) judicial branches, ... no, really, I can't make up fantastic enough interpretations.
Wait... he also gets to ignore laws and subpoenas, create his own reality, tell the president what to do, have his own undisclosed secret lair, and have a private army. Right?
A "secret lair"? Are you sure you didn't transpose a couple of letters?
If the GOP wins the preznitcy, Dick Cheney won't stay on as veep. He'll just run the show from a different behind-the-scenes office. Hey, there's precedent; think of Karl Rove.
