Via Thers at Whiskey Fire, Think Progress:
During a town hall meeting in Muskogee, Oklahoma this past weekend, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) admitted that it was “a mistake” for the United States to invade Iraq in 2003. “I will tell you personally that I think it was probably a mistake going to Iraq,” Coburn told the crowd.WTF?
Are you guys going to be soon saying things like, "You know, that whole Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rumsfeld thing was probably a mistake"? Or, "You know, fucking up a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with 9/11, bombing the hell out of innocent people, getting the whole world to think we've gone mad, galvanizing millions more would be terrorists to start taking sides... now THAT was probably a mistake."
Ya think, Senator Coburn? Probably?

you mean the past eight years was like Bobby walking out of the shower as Pam woke from a dream on Dallas
and Coburn is a complete nut
Was it really eight years? It went so fast...
And Coburn = nutcase? There is no probably about that.
8 LONG YEARS
is it a toss up as to who is more insane -- coburn or inhofe
You are right, DCap. I was joking because really it's been 8 FUCKING long years. 8 years while the world looked on amazed at the US becoming deranged, arrogant, thuggish, and hated. We've done everything wrong, ignoring every sensible act, and people everywhere have died or suffered because of it.
As to insanity? The craziest one of them all would be Cheney, smirking his mirthless smirk in his secret undisclosed lair, counting his barrels of oil.
Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, all the Neocon PNAC guys are next. Then all the yes men, the operators of the Right Wing Smear Machine, and the Republican members of Congress who goose stepped right behind Bush. All of them are completely crazed.
And some of them will be reelected to office....
