That's not a nice thing to say about Georgie Bush!!
Limbaugh said: "People are finally standing up to this little boy, this little man-child president, whose primary -- I think his primary job, if you will, in life has been leisure."Wait a minute.... Rush is talking about Obama?
Well, now Rush is just being jealous.....

It's WTF Wednesday!
- Holy shit!
DURHAM — The U.S. military is not just fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, America’s most renowned investigative journalist says.
The army is also “in a war against the White House — and they feel they have [President] Obama boxed in,” Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh told several hundred people in Duke University’s Page Auditorium on Tuesday night. “They think he’s weak and the wrong color. Yes, there’s racism in the Pentagon. We may not like to think that, but it’s true and we all know it.”
In a speech on Obama’s foreign policy, Hersh, who uncovered the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War and torture at Abu Ghraib prison during the Iraqi war, said many military leaders want Obama to fail.
“A lot of people in the Pentagon would like to see him get into trouble,” he said. By leaking information that the commanding officer in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, says the war would be lost without an additional 40,000 American troops, top brass have put Obama in a no-win situation, Hersh contended.

- Monsanto faces investigation!!:
The Justice Department is investigating whether Monsanto Co. violated antitrust rules in trying to expand its dominance of the market for genetically engineered crops.Maybe now the poor angry farmers and consumers around the world who have been so badly used and bullied by Monsanto will get their say.
Monsanto has provided interviews and documents to the Justice Department, company spokesman Lee Quarles said. He said the department has questioned Monsanto about its marketing tactics in the biotech seed industry, which have become a target of criticism.
Quarles said Monsanto has done nothing illegal and is cooperating with the department.
"We definitely stand behind our business," he said.
At issue is how the world's largest seed company sells and licenses its patented genes. Monsanto has licensing agreements with seed companies that let those companies insert Monsanto genes into about 96 percent of U.S. soybean crops and 80 percent of all corn crops.
Monsanto's rivals allege that the company uses the licensing agreements to squeeze competitors and control smaller seed companies — an allegation Monsanto denies.

"Some claim somehow that the recovery package isn't working by simply pointing to continued job losses. I consider this peculiar, especially from those who favored the policies that actually caused the recession to begin with," EPI President Lawrence Mishel said in testimony to Congress on October 8, where he proposed a five-part strategy for creating and preserving jobs, and stressed that the causes of today’s high unemployment pre-date President Obama.
"I consider President Obama to be in the situation of having inherited a burning apartment building. He proceeded to gather all the available fire trucks and douse the fires in half the floors. Yet his critics complain that the other floors are still on fire. Even worse, those critics are the ones who started the fire. And they want to withdraw the fire trucks."

Brave Sir Beck runs away
Own it, Glenn Beck. This is all yours. Yours along with Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Anne Coulter, Michael Savage, Michelle Malkin, and all the rest of the 'pundits' who spew hate constantly.
You wanted this to happen and now you can't just walk away from it. Come back and take a look at the bloody broken bodies your hate speech results in.
Nobody is surprised but you. Why is that?
Update: A man who actually knows what it is like taking on hate speech. Go Spocko!

Rush is a deeply closeted troubled man
Sunday, March 29, 2009
He was listening to the wrong station then.
In a Los Angeles Times op-ed, Andrew Klavan claimed he's "never heard" Rush Limbaugh "utter a single racist, hateful or stupid word," and offered a "[c]hallenge" to "liberals" to "[l]isten to the show ... and keep an open mind." However, Media Matters listens to Limbaugh everyday and has documented numerous examples of him spewing offensive commentary and basic misstatements of fact.Media Matters then shows a list (obviously not comprehensive). Rush Limbaugh is a stupid, racist, hateful moron who rules the Republican party and has them trembling in abject fear whenever they try to stand up to him. Rush Limbaugh is setting the Republican agenda by using racist, hateful, and massively stupid statements. And all the Republicans can do is still try to change the packaging but not the substance of their message: racism, hate and stupidity.
Just how dumb does Klavan think we are?

Because it's all the Republicans have left
Luckily people seem to be paying attention and aren't buying it:
According to the most recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, the percentage of Americans who view the Republican Party positively is at an all-time low. Meanwhile, President Obama’s positive rating is at an all-time high, and the Democratic Party’s positive rating is near its high. The axis of drivel. Can't say it better than that. Why? Because the Republicans have dissolved into a querulous lot of nags and naysayers without a voice, a direction or a clue, and we are not amused.
And who has surfaced as their saviors? Bobby Jindal, Michael Steele and Rush Limbaugh — the axis of drivel.

Lizard brains
But the impulse lives on inside people like Limbaugh and his listeners, who make up a non-trivial minority of population. That the first black president comes out of the liberal tradition creates a terrible threat to their worldview, and this whole ginned up controversy with ACORN registering minority voters, Ayers, Wright and the rest subsequently feeds into a very old narrative of blacks exacting revenge against their white oppressors.Entertaining the unspeakable. Hope the FBI cracks down hard on these people.
It's ridiculous, I know. But the history of this (thankfully) shrinking number of Americans is bloody and violent and they should be taken seriously. Limbaugh is inciting certain very ugly, primitive beliefs in his listeners and there's nothing "entertaining" about it.
Digby's post does address the deeply unacknowledged thoughts racists have, that what they believe, what they do to others reflects back on them and would be done to them in a blink of an eye. Hate is often fear projected outward. Maybe they realize the world has moved on and this makes them more angry and afraid. Their comfort zones are being threatened.
But we can thank the young for keeping the country moving forward. To my daughter's high school crowd, a black president would be cool and not at all remarkable.

Don't you think the Iraqis might resent this just a tiny bit?
"ABDULLAH [audio clip]: -- will be to provide whatever we can do for the Iraqi people, but the same time we do want to concentrate ourselves on the core issues which we believe are the Palestinians and the Palestinian peace process, because that is a must today --
LIMBAUGH: Oh, give me a break.
ABDULLAH [audio clip]: -- as well as the tremendous concern we have had over the last several days with what's happening in Lebanon. And we could possibly imagine going into 2007 and having three civil wars on our hands.
LIMBAUGH: All right, well, let's just have them. Let's just have the civil wars and let the crumbs crumble and the cookie crumble where -- because I'm fed up with this."[snip]
"Fine, just blow the place up. Just let these natural forces take place over there instead of trying to stop them, instead of trying to use -- I just -- sometimes natural force is going to happen. You're going to have to let it take place. You can spend all the time you like with diplomacy, and you can spend all the time you want massaging these things with diplomatic -- you're just -- you're just delaying the inevitable."
