Banning books

 Utah Bans 13 books. (I need to go out and get these.)

Oklahoma revoked this teacher's license for standing up against book bans. She's not backing down.

I love public libraries because they are built on the principle that books are so important and so necessary to human flourishing that access to them cannot depend on your income.

Apparently it's in human nature to desire simplistic answers to complex problems, which is why we will always have authoritarian tendencies. They will continually pop up in our political discourse and need to be exposed, beaten down, and disproved again and again. It was not okay then and it is not okay now.
