Now that's the U.S. military we all know and love... shades of the Vietnam era. Hutchinson isn't even trying to get out of being deployed... only to situate her 11-month-old before she is deployed, as the Army told her she would be granted time to do. First they lie to her, then they throw her in jail. As Dahr Jamail's column says, does the Army think this behavior will enhance its recruitment effort?
