Wow! I've seen falconers, lots of training for both person and bird. Our elementary school once had an eagle for show and tell. The bird was no longer able to fly but was magnificent. Hundreds of crows in the trees about the school yard were having hysterics.
So I can understand why you had no rodent problem....

When my brother was a falconer and kept hawks in our back yard...we never saw hide-nor-hair of any critters nor cats in our yard!
