Bush is no Republican and definitely no conservative.

"The Bush administration’s ability to engage in extraordinary and radical behavior has not occurred in a vacuum. The administration is radical and can act seemingly without limits because its supporters and followers are radical and limitless in their allegiance to its abuses. Understanding the disturbing and dangerous human dynamic which fuels that movement is critical to understanding the movement itself, and ultimately, to defeating it." John Dean discusses the dynamics of the Bush administration.

this is all well and good but the current people have no political allignment whatsoever, they just want to go with jesus.

they could pass a constituional amendment that said murder was legal if you beat someone to death with a giant dildo and if jesus okays it, its in.

I confess I never thought I'd read a sentence with both 'giant dildo' and 'Jesus' in it.

And yes, a huge percentage of fundamentalist Christian churches are supporting Bush no matter what he does because he has posed himself as a religious man. He and his administration have let drop several evangelical key words to show they too look forward to the second coming. Condi's 'birth pangs' reference concerning the Israel/Hezbollah war is one of the latest ones.
