A powerful and poignant statement... I began crying a few seconds before Hedges did the same. Having seen movements come and go, demonstrations arise and be put down, the 1 percent continue to exercise their unearned and undeserved power... I can't begin to say how much it means to me to see a deliberately amorphous movement, committed to right action by peaceful means, take off and spread over the world. As the Aussies might say, good on 'em.
(Hedges has been a personal hero of mine for about a decade, since his book War is a Force that Gives us Meaning revealed the depth of his understanding of powerful human motivations.)

I have not been aware of Chris Hedges' work, though I must have read his articles on Truthdig. I'll pay more attention from now on..
