No. For many wealthy people, half the point is having someone to look down on. They may attempt to eliminate such people, but not by improving their lot. Call it the cost of arrogance.

We should demand high schoolers watch movies out of the 20s and 30s (like 'It Happened One Night' etc.) where the movie has a sense of justice and equality and is a challenge to the rich/ poor divide.
