Update: Why spying in Iraq is not working:

The piece essentially says that the U.S. intelligence operations in Iraq are completely crippled by a combination of security issues, political idiocy, lack of planning, and a lack of language and culture knowledge.

Note to Bush: Knowing the language of the country you are going to invade really helps. Also, firing gay Farsi translators was a stupid idea. Was it one of yours?
