And then there are those to whom English is a second language....
Bristol Palin went on official Palin family blog “The Facebook” today to attack Keith Olbermann and rouse the pity of the conservative faithful, just as her mother would. Touching. Instead of using the standard teenager speak she and her sister usually employ on Facebook, however, she translated her message to Olbermann with some interesting selections from a thesaurus.

"... interesting selections from a thesaurus."
What's a "saurus"?
Players of a very large 17th-18th-century lute called a "theorbo" (the perfect instrument for accompanying soft instruments or voices) encounter the same problem. Often enough, typesetters of printed concert programs improperly correct it to "the oboe."
What's a "saurus"? Something large and ponderous and leaves piles of chewed letters in its wake....
I've not heard of the 'theorbo' but I'm sure I've heard it play: Hubby has immense collection of renaissance music... and modern and etc etc. He's musically omnivorous.
