The Senate will hold a vote of no confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales this Monday. Time to keep track of the votes.
Anyone who has confidence in Abu Gonzales at this point is beyond saving and should lose the next election. They're for torture, for infesting partisan politics into the judiciary, against the quaint Geneva Convention, against Habeas Corpus, for an unitary government.They are against the Constitution and our system of government.
Remember their names.

But we'd better not see any Dems voting in Gonzo's favor or the yogurt's really going to hit the fan. They've already lost a great deal of our confidence and support because of the Iraq Supplemental - a vote for Gonzo may just bring out the pitchforks, literally.
Damn right. If not pitchforks and torches, at least tar and feathers. We're as mad as hell and we won't take it anymore!

A lot of my active participation or nonparticipation in support of Democratic officeholders and candidates is riding on this vote and the habeas restoration. And after the last big Democratic cave-in, my default is nonparticipation. They're going to have to show me something. Can you tell I'm pissed off?
It just guts the Constitution.
How can anybody say no to Habeas Corpus? You have the right to be pissed, Steve, as do we all.
I find it interesting the AP and others are picking up the meme "This is the last thing Congress can do."
Seems they don't want to talk about impeachment.
Well... they think it's off the table.
