How funny! And that hair... it looks as if kitty's hair has all been combed the wrong way, poor thing.
I have a photo I may post some Friday, of Stella's cat Tabitha, situated on the couch with her nose toward the back, stuck between two upturned adjacent pillows. Neither of us had seen Tabitha do that before. We think it may have been due to the same prescription medication that softened her voice for a while until she accustomed herself to it. But Tabitha quite deliberately stuck her nose between those two pillows. Cats have their moods as surely as do people.

Absolutely ADORABLE! I love how kitties can twist their little bodies around. This one looks like it's sleeping on its head.
I looked for a string or something that the cat would be attempting to get, but I think you're right. The kitty is sleeping on his head.
