Maybe just one good old fashioned terrorist strike

Would bring back the good old days where fear kept the citizens in line and the Republicans could gut the treasury with no oversight:
[Dennis Milligan, chairman of the Saline County Arkansas Republican Party] said Republicans will have a hard time winning 30 House seats in next year’s election.
[snip]
He said he’s “150 percent” behind Bush on the war in Iraq.

“At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001 ], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country,” Milligan said.

Those were the days, huh, Dennis?

See on one hand, the fact there have been no terrorist attacks since 9/11 shows the war on Terra is working!

But if there was one, we'd all go running to the 'Daddy' (read drunk, abusive, cheats on mom, beats the dog) party again.

So if you're a Republican, its all good!

ooh, I sense a comic there.

Lol! Tell me when and I'll link it!

If there is a terrorist attack (even if it was so conveniently timed) I doubt it would do anything but underline how UNSAFE Bush has made us in the last 6 years.
