Did Bush think up his new stratergery by himself?

Because it sure sounds like it:
"The president's new strategy, to be revealed within days, has a 'central theme' of 'sacrifice.'"

So....no democracy, no shining light on the hill, no standing down when they stand up, no staying the course, the new way forward, backward or whatever....

Just: Stay there until you die or I get outta office.
