"A handful of state lawmakers are suing Alaska Gov. Frank Murkowski to keep him from signing a gas pipeline contract. The legislators took the action by filing a lawsuit in Fairbanks Superior Court.
Murkowski will leave office during the first week of December. Some lawmakers are worried that between now and then, the governor will sign the gas line contract without legislative approval. They say their worries stem from recent comments made by the governor."
