Texas Senate Votes to Abolish Renewable Energy Programs

It is reasonable to blame Texas, especially its Lege, for attempting to abolish programs developing renewable energy sources. It is equally reasonable to blame any state in which it is legal to burn carbon-based fuel to power transportation, heating, industrial processes, etc. By my admittedly quick count, that would be, um, ah, 49 states in addition to Texas. Texas happens to have a lot of fossil fuels in the ground; that's the overwhelming reason the oil industry is centered here.

It really does take two to tango, and you can't blame just Gomez and Morticia for that fact.
