Home again!!

Saw Zion and Bryce, Coral Sand Dunes, Pipe Spring National Park, Grand Canyon and Sunset Crater, Wupatki Indian ruins.  Summer storms then puffy white clouds.  Above and below 90F degrees.  Saw wild pronghorn antelope, deer, wild turkeys, mountain sheep, domesticated bison, eagles, chipmunks, desert rats...and loads of tourists from every country.

I'm so glad to be home

Welcome home! Those of us who have literally no option to travel confess we envy you...

Hugs, Steve. You travel farther with your mind than I can follow.

My mind is (mostly) not broken, but the part of me that would travel damned surely is! Almost exactly a year ago, on Stella's 60th birthday, we went to the Boardwalk in Kemah. After a brief attempt to get around with just my cane, we got the management to supply us a (broken) wheelchair... I no longer have, or need, one for daily use... and Stella had an entire day, her big birthday, no less, to be reminded what a PITA it is to push a cripple around. One indignity (not so bad in retrospect) was having my wheelchair strapped into the front car of the little train so I could ride, tied down, through the rest of the park, watching people have fun. But I can't really fly anywhere, because of this blessed boot... even if I didn't have a terra-ist's beard, the boot would undo my travel plans. [/whine] ellroon, as you age, please, please stay healthy!

A few bolts have fallen off, but I'm still ambulatory... My sympathies to your foot and the damned boot.
