And will hate you more if you are a victim. Victims are weak. Strong manly American rugged individual macho males are not weak. They shoot things. They jump buildings in single bounds. If you are a victim you can not have been a strong manly... oh whatever.
Chester of Vanity Press says it best. Hatred is all they have.

You're right. Hatred distracts them from their own personal problems and gives them a scapegoat.
