Is Cheney paranoid because of Ciprofloxacin?

Wilkerson's article about Cheney being "Lonely, Paranoid, Frightened" made me wonder...

On the night of the Sept. 11 attacks, the White House Medical Office dispensed Cipro to staff accompanying Vice President Dick Cheney as he was secreted off to the safety of Camp David, and told them it was "a precaution," according to one person directly involved.

Paranoia?...

Hallucinations? It would explain the last eight years...

In October 2001, press reports revealed that White House staff had been on a regimen of the powerful antibiotic Cipro since the September 11th terrorist attacks. Judicial Watch is aggressively pursuing the disclosure of the facts and the decision for White House staff, and President Bush as well, to begin taking Cipro nearly a month before anthrax was detected on Capitol Hill.

“The American people deserve a full accounting from the Bush administration, the FBI , and other agencies concerning the anthrax attacks. The FBI’s investigation seems to have dead-ended, and frankly, that is not very reassuring given their performance with the September 11th hijackers,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman. “One doesn’t simply start taking a powerful antibiotic for no good reason. The American people are entitled to know what the White House staffers knew nine months ago, “ he added.

Or maybe the paranoia is setting in because Cheney realizes he couldn't shred everything that ever passed over his desk and into the man-sized safes....

Maybe they were just too small to get over the guard rail?

Tamiflu:

TOKYO, March 24 Japan is looking into the possibility that the anti-flu drug Tamiflu may be causing hallucinations and other neuropsychiatric symptoms in young children.

A health ministry affiliate has received nearly two dozen reports of the antiviral drug, made by Swiss-based Roche Holding, being associated with neuropsychiatric disorders in children under the age of 10, the Kyodo news agency reported Saturday.

However, none of the cases in 2004 and 2005 resulted in the children falling or jumping from buildings, as had been previously reported in 15 cases of older youths, ages 10-19, and seven cases of adults who allegedly had taken Tamiflu, Kyodo said.

Wait a second....Wasn't Rumsfeld involved in Tamiflu? Why, yes, he was!
