Free Steven Donziger!
From Reddit: gordohimself says, "Not only filed but won the lawsuit representing a group of 30,000 farmers and Indigenous Ecuadorians, meaning Chevron owes them $9.5 Billion which it hasn't paid.
Instead, they targeted Steven with some bullshit charge from a corporate Judge for refusing to hand over his personal computer and phone to the Chevron legal team, kept him under house arrest for over 2 years (an unprecedented cruel and unusual punishment), and successfully convicted him to try and scare off any other lawyer for fighting worthy fights against Chevron or any other corporation functioning as an instrument of death."

Making money by making more prisoners fills the coffers of private prisons, our very own concentration camps.

Bryan of Why Now? gets to the very essence of our capitalistic system.
“People don’t seem to understand that corporations are required by law to prioritize profits over everything, and can be sued by their shareholders if they don’t. Corporations are required to be evil, which is why they need to be heavily regulated for their government bestowed gift of limited liability and existence. Corporations are creations of government, not the market.”
Exactly. Greed may be 'good', but human nature being what it is, regulations are better.
