Jaw-dropping quote of the day:
When asked by ThinkProgress if he’d accept a society where African-Americans were permanently subservient to whites, he said “I’d be fine with that.” He also claimed that African-Americans “should be allowed to vote in Africa,” and that “all the Tea Parties” were concerned with the same racial problems that he was.
At one point, a woman challenged him on the Republican Party’s roots, to which Terry responded, “I didn’t know the legacy of the Republican Party included women correcting men in public.”

Think Progress is on the verge of losing my blogroll link because of its frequent popups. I hate to ditch a site for reasons other than its content, but I'm pretty close to doing just that in this case.
Damned popups. I always feel I should apologize for ads or video that starts immediately when clicked. Do sites really make money on these things?
Probably not, but some bosses think they do. More than once I've been compelled, on pain of losing my contract, to go forward with one or another really, really bad idea (like popups launched from body_onload()) that can't possibly grab a visitor's positive attention. But some people are very confident that they can force a visitor to pay attention to them, as perhaps their own parents never did...
