Can you imagine the pain and damage done to everyone involved?

simple human equality It's as fundamental as that.ellroonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11335409429673647381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32487323.post-76100413773168898172009-02-06T09:14:00.000-08:002009-02-06T09:14:00.000-08:00Signed the petition. Giving me the right to marry and depriving them of that same right is offensive beyond words.

It is also a constitutional matter. As a matter of equality... simple human equality... the law should make no distinction between a gay marriage and a straight one. A law which differentiates in that way denies gays "the equal protection of the laws" (Amendment XIV) ... and is therefore flat-out unconstitutional under the federal Constitution, whether or not it complies with California's. Prop. h8 must be invalidated.Steve Bateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07587223243120009776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32487323.post-36232394318943094972009-02-06T08:27:00.000-08:002009-02-06T08:27:00.000-08:00Amazing how many people want to go back to the era...Amazing how many people want to go back to the era of deeply closeted gay, the shamed adulteress, the shunned bastard children. Our California court better realize that most of its electorate has grown up, out, and moved on from this backward idiocy.

Start here you guys: Every person is equal to every other person. I am not talking about a half-ass remark saying he understands, but a forceful action that says this country will not longer accept this intolerance. I highly doubt the Supreme Court is going to take a stand. It is a shame.DBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01267112937396907790noreply@blogger.com
